A 29-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Pasadena on early Friday morning, July 12, 2024.
According to the Pasadena Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:11 a.m. at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Walnut Street.
Officers stated that a pedestrian, described as a Pasadena man, was found lying in the traffic lanes after being struck by a vehicle. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries to his head and torso and was treated at the scene by the paramedics. Shortly after, he was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, identified as a 40-year-old man from Pasadena, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. As of this writing, there have been no charges filed against the driver.
The crash remains under investigation. Police work is underway.
