A rider was possibly injured following a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Lathrop on Wednesday evening, July 10, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near the Highway 120 connection.
Upon arrival, officers found the aftermath of the crash blocking at least one lane of the highway. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear, including how it occurred and how many people were involved in total.
The extent of the injury possibly sustained is currently unknown. None of the people involved were also identified publicly.
CHP is still investigating the official cause of the collision. It is not immediately known who among the two parties was responsible for it and if alcohol or drugs were involved.
Other motorists intending to pass through the crash site should expect heavy traffic slowdowns as the authorities clear up the crash site.
