A pickup truck driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a crash that caused a big rig to jackknife in Antelope, Sacramento County, on Thursday morning, July 9, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 4:35 a.m. at Walerga Road near Elverta Road.
Authorities reported that the driver of the big rig was unharmed. Emergency crews cleared the roadway by 8 a.m., though a hazardous materials team remained on scene to clean up fluid spilled from the truck.
The pickup truck driver was booked under suspicion of DUI, and the CHP continues to investigate the crash.
