According to the Shafter Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:35 p.m. at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and East Lerdo Highway. 

Officers responded to the scene and reported that northbound traffic on Cherry Avenue was being diverted due to the incident.

Officials advised motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes as the scene was being cleared.

By 2:09 p.m., police confirmed that the roadway had reopened. No details were immediately provided regarding possible injuries or the cause of the crash.
