[07-06-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Long Beach.webpA bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash in Long Beach early Monday morning, July 6, 2026.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 2:40 a.m. near the intersection of Cowles Street and Santa Fe Avenue.

Officers arrived and found the bicyclist, identified only as a man, lying in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts from Long Beach Fire Department personnel, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the bicyclist was traveling westbound on Cowles Street when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that turned eastbound from southbound Santa Fe Avenue. The driver fled the scene after the collision.
