Minor injuries were reported following a three-vehicle collision in Hesperia on Saturday evening, July 6, 2024.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, the incident occurred just before 8:00 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15 between Joshua Street and Main Street.
Authorities said the crash involved a 2023 Nissan Kicks, a 2019 Mazda CX-5, and a Toyota Sequoia SUV. Upon arrival, they found the wreckage blocking most of the freeway’s lanes, causing heavy traffic delays reaching Ranchero Road.
The circumstances behind the incident remain unclear, but authorities confirmed that the crash resulted in injuries. Thankfully, none of them were said to be serious.
Seven people reportedly occupied one of the vehicles involved during the collision. At least one person involved was rushed to the hospital for treatment after suffering from minor injuries. The responders also assessed several children for any injuries.
The official cause of the three-vehicle crash is still under investigation. The case has since been handed to the California Highway Patrol Victorville Station.
