[07-05-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed, Four Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-15 Near Newberry Springs.webpOne person was killed, and four others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 in Newberry Springs, San Bernardino County, on Sunday afternoon, July 5, 2026.

According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported at around 12:10 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15, south of Harvard Road.

Authorities said the crash may have involved a Toyota and a hatchback. Both vehicles came to rest in the center divider, with debris scattered across the roadway.

Emergency crews responded after receiving an iPhone crash detection alert. One occupant was found trapped inside a vehicle and was later confirmed deceased. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Four other people were injured in the collision. Two patients with critical injuries were airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center, and another injured person was transported for additional medical care.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
