One person was airlifted, and another was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash in Victorville on Sunday afternoon, July 5, 2026.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the collision was reported at around 2:16 p.m. at the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Ridgecrest Road.
Authorities said a maroon Chevrolet sedan traveling westbound on Bear Valley Road collided with a gray Ram pickup truck traveling southbound on Ridgecrest Road. The sedan sustained extensive front-end damage, while the pickup truck had significant damage to its rear passenger-side area.
Firefighters requested a medical helicopter due to the severity of one occupant’s injuries. Mercy Air 22 transported one occupant of the sedan to a regional trauma center. The second occupant of the sedan was also transported to a hospital. The two occupants of the pickup truck were not injured.
Deputies are investigating the crash, and DUI is not suspected at this time.
