A possible minor injury was reported following a big rig vs. vehicle collision in El Dorado County on Friday morning, July 5, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:12 a.m. on eastbound Highway 50 near the offramp for Cambridge Road in Cameron Park.

Authorities stated that a big rig and an unspecified vehicle were involved in the collision. Details on how the incident occurred were not yet provided, but CHP confirmed that a possible minor injury was reported. As of this writing, there is no word yet on the identity of the injured individual.

It is unknown what caused the collision. The police are gathering all the necessary information to determine if drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision.
