A motorcycle passenger was killed, and the rider was critically injured after a collision with a pickup truck in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, on Saturday night, July 4, 2026.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred around 9:56 p.m. on Bear Valley Road, west of Iroquois Road.
Authorities said a green Yamaha R7 motorcycle traveling eastbound on Bear Valley Road collided with a black Nissan Titan pickup truck.
Investigators reported that the Nissan turned onto Bear Valley Road and entered the motorcycle’s lane of travel, resulting in a collision that ejected both motorcycle occupants.
The motorcycle rider, identified as 30-year-old Gary C., and his 23-year-old passenger, Abril F., both from Victorville, suffered major injuries. The passenger was transported to a hospital, where she later died. The rider remained hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver of the Nissan Titan, identified as 29-year-old Jesus B. of Apple Valley, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. His passenger was not injured. Authorities said DUI is not suspected.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
