A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in North Natomas, Sacramento, on Thursday morning, July 4, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 4:15 a.m. at El Centro and Radio roads. 

Authorities stated that a pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene after they were hit by a vehicle. There is no word yet on the make and model of the car, but the driver remained on the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. 

As of this writing, the victim’s name, age, and gender were not immediately known. There was no indication that DUI contributed to the crash, and the cause of the incident remains unclear. 

Further information will be released as the investigation progresses. Investigators are gathering all the necessary evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
