A pedestrian was severely injured following a hit-and-run collision in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon, July 3, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the accident occurred around 4:35 p.m. in the North Hollywood neighborhood along Sherman Way near Coldwater Canyon.

LAPD said an unspecified vehicle was traveling eastbound on Sherman Way when, for some reason, it struck the pedestrian, who was apparently in a crosswalk, before leaving the area immediately.

The victim, whose name, age, and gender were not provided, suffered severe injuries as a result of the incident and was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

Police are currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who can pinpoint them to the location of the hit-and-run driver. Those interested in helping solve the case can call the authorities at 818-644-8000.
