[07-03-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured Following Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash in Pacoima

One person was killed, while another was injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Pacoima, Los Angeles, on Wednesday afternoon, July 3, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway.

Authorities said that an unspecified vehicle, for some reason, overturned while traveling along the 118 Freeway and tumbled down onto the street below. The vehicle was then found heavily damaged in the 10900 block of Haddon Avenue, near Fielding Street.

One person was trapped inside the wreckage and had to be extricated by the authorities. That person died at the scene due to their injuries. 

Another person was reportedly ejected from the vehicle as it was overturning. The second person survived and was transported to a nearby hospital after sustaining unspecified injuries.

Additional information about the two individuals involved, such as their names, ages, and genders, was not available at this time.

The authorities are still investigating the incident. It is not immediately known if alcohol, drugs, or speeding was involved.
