[07-02-2026] Sonoma County, CA – Child Injured in Crash on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa.webpA 3-year-old child was injured in a crash on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa on Thursday afternoon, July 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 between Hopper Avenue and Mendocino Avenue.

Authorities said the driver of a Honda Pilot struck the center median, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its right side.

The driver, described only as a woman, suffered minor injuries. The 3-year-old child sustained major injuries and was transported with the driver to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital before being flown to Oakland Children’s Hospital. CHP later confirmed that the child had been discharged from the hospital.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
