A 61-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision in Lincoln on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a Toyota Camry and a Tesla Model 3 on Nicolaus Road.
Authorities said the Toyota Camry, driven by a 61-year-old Lincoln man, was traveling westbound on Nicolaus Road while the Tesla Model 3 was traveling eastbound.
Preliminary evidence indicates the Toyota crossed over double yellow lines and entered the opposite lane before colliding with the Tesla.
The Toyota driver was killed in the crash. CHP said there were no witnesses who could conclusively determine which vehicle crossed the center line, and both vehicles have been retained as evidence during the investigation.
