A 41-year-old woman from Los Banos sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a hospital following a crash involving a tractor-trailer in Madera County on Wednesday morning, July 2, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 25 and Road 9.
Authorities said the woman was driving a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan southbound on Road 9 when she failed to stop at the intersection.
The tractor-trailer, a Freightliner driven by a 57-year-old man from Tulare, was traveling eastbound on Avenue 25, which has no stop sign and therefore the right-of-way.
The impact caused significant damage to the Dodge, and emergency crews had to extricate the woman from the vehicle. She was then airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with major injuries.
The driver of the Freightliner was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
