INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT?

[06-30-2024] Riverside County, CA – One Person Killed, Two Others Injured Following Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on I-15

One person was killed, and two others were injured following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Wildomar on Sunday afternoon, June 30, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 1:50 p.m. on southbound I-15 near Diamond Drive. 

Authorities stated that a 2004 Kia Sorento was traveling at approximately 65 mph in the freeway’s No. 2 lane when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control and veered into the center median, causing the vehicle to overturn. 

As a result, one of the passengers, identified as Maria L.,74, of Mexico, was ejected from the vehicle. She sustained severe injuries and was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center, where she died. Meanwhile, the 71-year-old Kia driver and his 66-year-old front-seat passenger, both came from Compton, were transported to the same hospital with major injuries. 

It is unknown what caused the collision or if drugs, alcohol, and speeding played a role. As of this writing, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
