Two people were injured following a truck vs. vehicle collision in Riverside County on Friday morning, June 28, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:07 a.m. on the I-10 just east of Corn Springs near mile marker 117.
Authorities stated that the truck was traveling westbound on the freeway when it ran into a white Toyota RAV, causing severe vehicle damage and injuries. The truck driver suffered severe injuries, while the condition of the RAV4’s driver appeared to be less severe. An ambulance was requested to the scene shortly after the incident.
There is no word yet on how the collision occurred. It is unknown whether drugs, alcohol, or speeding played a role.
