[06-27-2026] Inyo County, CA – One Critically Injured in Wrong-Way DUI Crash on Highway 395.webpA suspected DUI driver was arrested after a wrong-way crash on U.S. Highway 395 north of Bordertown in Inyo County on Saturday night, June 27, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:14 p.m. on northbound Highway 395 when a Nissan Rogue traveling southbound in the northbound lanes collided head-on with a Subaru Impreza traveling in the correct direction.

Authorities stated that the driver of the Subaru sustained critical injuries and was airlifted from the scene for emergency medical treatment.

CHP conducted a DUI investigation and determined the Nissan driver was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.

The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
