Two people escaped injury after their Subaru Ascent was forced off the road and rolled multiple times in a collision on Bay Street in Santa Cruz on Friday morning, June 27, 2025.
According to the occupants, they were driving below the speed limit en route to pick up their cat from the veterinarian when a white Tesla, reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed, passed them and entered their lane. The maneuver caused the Subaru to veer off the road.
The vehicle rolled several times, colliding with a fence and utility lines. Despite the violent crash, the Subaru’s safety systems activated as designed, allowing the occupants to walk away from the wreck, shaken but unharmed.
Authorities have not released further details, and the incident remains under investigation.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
