At least one person was injured following a multi-vehicle collision in south Sacramento on Thursday afternoon, June 27, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident occurred at about 3:45 p.m. along southbound Highway 99 near Sutterville Road.

CHP said that at least two vehicles were involved in the incident but did not specify the number of people affected. Preliminary investigation suggests that a vehicle overturned and landed upside down.

No other injuries were reported, except for one whose name, age, and current condition were not disclosed.

All lanes of Highway 99 going through the area experienced traffic slowdowns.
