One person was killed, while another was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash in Jurupa Valley on Thursday night, June 27, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal vehicular collision happened at about 9:00 p.m. at the eastbound Riverside (60) Freeway near Country Village Road.
The total number of vehicles and people involved was not disclosed. Upon arrival, authorities found one victim fatally injured and pronounced them dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a second victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Neither of the two has been identified yet. Their roles in the accident were also still unclear. Apart from them, no other fatalities or injuries were reported immediately following the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the deadly collision are still under investigation. It is not immediately known if drugs, alcohol, or speeding were a factor.
