[06-24-2026] San Luis Obispo County, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash at Madonna Rd. and Highway 101

A red-light violation led to a rollover crash at a busy intersection in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday evening, June 24, 2026.

According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, the crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. when a vehicle ran a red light while turning left from Madonna Road onto northbound Highway 101. The vehicles collided, causing one to overturn onto its roof.

Authorities reported that both drivers walked away from the crash uninjured. Police stated that DUI is not suspected in the collision.
