One person was killed following a single-vehicle crash in San Diego just after midnight on Monday, June 24, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 12:03 a.m. on the eastbound Otay Mesa (905) Freeway at the Heritage Road off-ramp.
CHP said that the crashed vehicle had two occupants at the time of the incident. Both were said to be trapped in the wreckage when the responders arrived, with one of them already unresponsive. That person was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after. It is unclear if the deceased person was the driver or the passenger.
