[06-23-2026] Lassen County, CA – One Killed, Five Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 395 Near Hall Rd.webpOne person was killed, and five others sustained major injuries following a head-on crash in Lassen County on Tuesday morning, June 23, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:05 a.m. on Highway 395 north of Hall Road.

A 2025 Chrysler van traveling northbound, driven by Sade K., 43, of Sparks, Nevada, crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2014 Toyota pickup driven by Candelario A., 52, of Truckee, California. Both vehicles came to rest on the southbound shoulder.

A passenger in the Chrysler van, a 39-year-old man from Sun Valley, Nevada, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and several other passengers were transported to Renown Medical Center with major injuries. The driver of the Toyota pickup was also hospitalized with major injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
