[06-23-2026] Kern County, CA – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash Involving Pickup Truck West of Lake Isabella

A motorcyclist suffered major injuries after a crash involving a pickup truck on Highway 178 west of Lake Isabella in Kern County on Tuesday afternoon, June 23, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:21 p.m. on westbound Highway 178, just west of the Miracle Hot Springs area.

Officials said the motorcyclist went down in the roadway after the crash. The rider was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Their condition has not been released.

CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
