[06-21-2024] 54-Year-Old Man Killed After Bicycle Vs. Vehicle Collision in WestminsterA 54-year-old man was killed after a bicycle vs. vehicle collision in Westminster on Friday morning, June 21, 2024. 

According to the Westminster Police Department, the crash happened around 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of 20th Street and Beach Boulevard. 

Authorities stated that a 54-year-old Alaskan man was riding his bicycle along the traffic lanes when, for unknown reasons, a Lincoln Towncar struck him. Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the location of the accident and pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of his relatives. 

There is no word yet on how the collision occurred or if there is anyone else injured. The driver of the vehicle that struck the victim stayed at the scene and called 911. As of this writing, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the fatal crash.
