[06-20-2024] 71-Year-Old Rider Killed After Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle Collision Along Stockton Boulevard A 71-year-old rider was killed after a motorcycle vs. vehicle collision in Sacramento on Thursday night, June 20, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 10:45 p.m. on southbound Stockton Boulevard at 16th Avenue.

Authorities stated that a 1999 Dodge pickup truck was stopped at the limit line of eastbound 16th Avenue when it was about to make a left turn onto northbound Stockton Boulevard. As the driver started to turn left, a rider on a motorcycle crashed into the side door of the pickup truck. 

Police said that the motorcyclist, identified as a 71-year-old man, was transported to the hospital, where he died. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene and was not under the influence of drugs and alcohol. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Additional information on the collision will be disclosed once available.
