A 1-year-old boy was killed after falling from a moving vehicle in Colton, San Bernardino County, on Thursday evening, June 18, 2026.
According to the Colton Police Department, the incident occurred just before 9 p.m. near South Mt. Vernon Avenue and Centerpointe Drive.
When officers arrived, they found the boy unresponsive on the roadway. Life-saving measures were performed before he was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators reported that the child had fallen from a moving vehicle, though the circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
A dark-colored Jeep SUV was stopped at the scene as part of the investigation. No arrests have been made.
The Colton Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team and Detective Division are handling the investigation.
