[06-17-2024] Sacramento County, CA – One Person Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Collision Along Jackson Road Near Sloughhouse

One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision in east Sacramento County on Monday morning, June 17, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic accident occurred at about 7:13 a.m. at the intersection of Jackson Road and Dillard Road,  just west of Sloughhouse.

The crash reportedly involved an SUV and a minivan. How the two vehicles collided remains unclear, but officers said that at least one person needed to be extracted from their respective vehicle.

One of the drivers involved may have been seriously injured, said CHP. It is still unclear if this individual was the same as the one that got trapped.

At the time of writing, the number of people involved in the accident was not disclosed, and none have been publicly identified.

CHP is still investigating the cause of the crash and all possible factors that may have contributed to it.
