[06-15-2025] Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Felony Hit-and-Run Crash on State Route 1A pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck in a felony hit-and-run crash on State Route 1 in Ventura County on Sunday night, June 15, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol-Ventura Area, the incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. in the 3700 block of State Route 1. 

Responding officers found a 25-year-old female pedestrian on the right shoulder with significant injuries. She was treated at the scene by the Ventura County Fire Department.

Authorities confirmed that no vehicle remained at the scene, classifying the collision as a felony hit-and-run. Surveillance footage nearby helped identify the suspect vehicle and obtain a license plate number.

On June 19, a 48-year-old woman from Bakersfield was arrested in connection with the incident, and her vehicle was recovered by investigators.

The investigation remains ongoing.
