One person was killed in a crash on Interstate 15 in Mira Mesa, San Diego County, late Sunday night, June 14, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at around 10:27 p.m. on the southbound lanes just north of Carroll Canyon Drive near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
Witnesses reported that multiple vehicles were involved, with one becoming engulfed in flames. Emergency responders arrived and performed CPR on one individual at the scene.
Authorities also reported that only the burned vehicle may have been directly involved in the crash, though the circumstances remain unclear.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
