Two juvenile passengers were injured following a single-vehicle suspected DUI crash in Madera County on Friday afternoon, June 14, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 3:00 p.m. on Road 206 near Road 145.
Authorities stated that 43-year-old Ramon V. of Fresno was driving a 2008 Nissan Titan when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and veered off the road. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to overturn, but it still ended up back on its wheels.
The two juvenile passengers, ages 9 and 10, sustained minor injuries and were transported to Valley Children’s Hospital. Their current condition was unknown.
Police suspected that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. They arrested him and booked him into the Madera County Jail.
No further information was released, and the authorities are gathering all the necessary details to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
