A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Los Angeles on Thursday night, June 13, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred just before 10:15 p.m. on 2 Freeway south of Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock. 

Authorities stated that a pedestrian, who has not been identified, was hit by a vehicle. Upon the arrival of the officers, the victim was found on the northbound of the freeway and pronounced dead at the scene. There is no available information on the deceased person’s identity as of this writing. 

Police said that the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene. Details on the make and model of the car were not immediately known. It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.

Further information on the collision has yet to be disclosed by the officers. The investigation continues.
