One person was killed following a crash in Laguna Hills, Orange County, on Friday night, June 12, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near Alicia Parkway.
Authorities stated that a vehicle spun out and caught fire. Fire crews responded and extinguished the blaze shortly after arriving at the scene.
Officials noted that a second vehicle may have been involved, and investigators are examining whether impairment played a role in the collision. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
