[06-12-2025] Woman Critically Injured in Pedestrian Crash on El Cajon BoulevardA 54-year-old woman was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in San Diego on Thursday morning, June 12, 2025.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. in the 4800 block of El Cajon Boulevard in the Talmadge neighborhood. 

A 2011 Toyota Prius, driven by a 69-year-old man, struck the pedestrian. Police reported the woman suffered serious head trauma and was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where she was not expected to survive.

Authorities stated that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol was ruled out as a factor, and it was unclear whether the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk at the time.

The investigation is ongoing.
