Multiple injuries were reported after a four-vehicle collision in French Camp, San Joaquin County, on Wednesday afternoon, June 12, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. on Matthews Road near Grovetree Lane.

It was not immediately clear how the four vehicles collided, and the total number of people affected by the crash was also unclear. CHP said that one person was trapped inside one of the vehicles, prompting an extrication. 

It is said that occupants in at least two vehicles sustained unspecified injuries. There is no word yet whether one of them was the aforementioned trapped person. None of the people involved or injured were identified at this time.
