Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision in Los Angeles County on Monday evening, June 10, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:00 p.m. on the northbound I-5 south of Smokey Bear Road.
Authorities stated that a 32-year-old Frazier Park man was driving a stolen Jeep Wrangler when he collided with a vehicle. The crash was initially reported as having multiple vehicles involved, but CHP said that only two vehicles were found at the scene with minor injuries to the victims. At this time, the total number of people involved as well as their identities, were not disclosed.
Further investigation confirmed that the jeep driver was in possession of a stolen vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody on Monday evening and released on citation the same day.
