One person was injured following a two-vehicle head-on collision in Santa Cruz County on Monday afternoon, June 9, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic incident occurred just before 3:00 p.m. on Highway 9 near Fern Drive and north of Boulder Creek.
CHP did not detail the total number of people involved in the crash but said that one person was taken to the hospital via air ambulance. The name, age, gender, and extent of the injury sustained by that one person were not disclosed at this time.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Currently, drugs and alcohol are not considered possible factors.
