[06-09-2024] Fresno County, CA – At Least One Person Injured After Vehicle Crashed Into Apartment Unit Along College Avenue

At least one person was injured after a vehicle crashed into an apartment unit in Fresno early Sunday morning, June 9, 2024.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident occurred at about 2:40 a.m. on 6019 North College Avenue.

FPD said that the unspecified vehicle was going east on Bullard Avenue when it suddenly swerved across the westbound lanes and drove through a wall and wood fence before crashing into an apartment building nearby. They then confirmed that the car was not able to enter the unit, but it caused considerable damage, including a broken water pipe.

One occupant of the crashed vehicle, who police believe is not the driver, was transported to a local hospital. The injured individual’s name, age, and gender were not provided.

The total number of people involved in the incident was also not disclosed. The police are reportedly still figuring out the other people’s identities inside the vehicle at the time of the collision. Currently, no other injuries have been reported.

Additional information was not immediately available, and the FPD is still examining all the evidence to determine the factors leading up to the single-vehicle collision. No arrests have been made yet.
