Two people were killed after a suspected DUI collision in Turlock on Saturday afternoon, June 8, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened around 4:00 p.m. along Geer Road south of Grayson Road.
Initial reports suggest that a woman driving a 2013 Lexus was going south on Geer Road when, for some reason, she crossed the double yellow lines into the northbound lane. Soon enough, the Lexus collided head-on with a 1996 Toyota driven by a Modesto man.
The female driver of the Lexus, later identified as 25-year-old Dominique C. from Turlock, and the male driver of the Toyota, 36-year-old Jesus P., both died at the scene immediately following the crash. The two drivers were reportedly wearing their respective seatbelts.
CHP suspects that alcohol intoxication played a role in the deadly incident.
No further information was immediately released. The investigation into the collision is still underway.
