A man was arrested following a DUI hit-and-run incident that injured one person in Corning on Saturday evening, June 7, 2025.
According to the Corning Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:48 p.m. near the intersection of Marguerite Avenue and Solano Street.
The reporting party described the crash as an intentional hit-and-run involving a possibly intoxicated driver.
After speaking with the victim, officers located the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby restaurant. A witness reported seeing someone matching the suspect’s description fleeing northbound on First Street.
Police found the suspect, identified as Orlando V., hiding near bushes. He attempted to flee and resisted arrest before being taken into custody following a brief struggle.
The suspect was booked at the Tehama County Jail and is facing multiple charges, including DUI, hit-and-run, assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, and public intoxication.
The incident remains under investigation.
