According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was first reported around 12:45 p.m. just south of the Las Pulgas exit. 

A motorcycle and at least two other vehicles were involved, though the exact circumstances of the crash remain unclear.

CHP confirmed that a Life Flight air transport was requested at the scene. Camp Pendleton released a statement acknowledging the fatality and noted that a unit was dispatched to assist CHP.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
