[06-06-2025] One Man Killed, Mother And Two Children Injured in Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash on Highway 121 Near Sonoma RacewayOne man was killed, and a woman, along with her two children, sustained major injuries in a head-on collision in Sonoma County on Friday afternoon, June 6, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on State Highway 121 near Sonoma Raceway, just north of the intersection with Highway 37. 

The woman was driving northbound in a Toyota Venza with her 15-year-old son in the front passenger seat and her 11-year-old daughter seated behind the driver.

A man driving a southbound Lexus RX-450h reportedly crossed the double yellow lines and entered the northbound lane, striking the Toyota Venza head-on. The Lexus caught fire following the collision.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and extricated all involved before transporting them to the hospital with major injuries. 

The man driving the Lexus was pronounced dead about an hour later at a Napa County hospital. The man’s identity will be released by the Napa County Coroner pending notification of next of kin. 

The crash remains under investigation.
