[06-04-2026] Tehama County, CA – Two Injured After SUV Crashes into Residence on Highway 99 in Dairyville.webpTwo people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries after a Ford Explorer left the roadway and crashed into a residential structure along Highway 99 in Dairyville, Tehama County, on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 11:03 a.m. near Highway 99E and Craig Creek Lane.

Authorities found the white Explorer had struck the exterior wall of a residence and caught fire, which was extinguished by good Samaritans. The two occupants were able to self-extricate from the vehicle.

The CHP reported that no one was inside the residence at the time of the crash. Both the driver and passenger of the Explorer were transported to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff for treatment of minor injuries.

Investigators stated that the male driver told officers he had “passed out” while driving northbound on Highway 99E. The vehicle left the highway on the west shoulder, struck a fence, and ultimately crashed into the home.

Emergency crews remained at the scene until approximately 1:40 p.m. as authorities secured the area and processed the incident.
