[06-04-2024] Boy Killed, Four Others Injured Following Two-Vehicle Crash in PlacentiaA boy was killed, and four others were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Placentia on Tuesday morning, June 4, 2024. 

According to the Placentia Police Department, the collision happened around 8:20 a.m. at Yorba Linda Boulevard and Valencia Avenue. 

Authorities stated that a vehicle driven by a teenage boy collided with another car along Yorba Linda Boulevard. As a result, the boy was trapped inside and sustained injuries. Emergency personnel immediately extricated him and transported him to a hospital, where he died. 

The boy’s male passenger was able to exit the vehicle but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was also transported to the hospital for immediate treatment. 

The 39-year-old woman, a boy, and a girl were the occupants of the other vehicle. They were all hospitalized with minor injuries. None of their identities were disclosed. 

It is unknown what caused the collision. Further information has yet to be released by the authorities. Investigations are ongoing.
