One person was killed following a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash in San Diego County on Monday evening, June 3, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5:47 p.m. on Old Highway 80 and Church Road near Live Oak Springs.
Officers stated that the collision involved a gold Toyota sedan and an unspecified motorcycle. The sedan was reportedly on its way out of a nearby casino when it collided with the motorcycle.
When emergency services arrived, including the San Diego Sheriff’s Department and CAL FIRE, they found the motorcycle rider down with grave injuries. Medical personnel tried to save the rider’s life but was unable to do so. The rider was declared dead at the scene.
No word yet on whether the driver of the involved car was injured. Neither party’s name, age, or gender was disclosed at this time.
