[06-02-2025] Four Hospitalized, One Critically Injured After Car Hits Tree on College Avenue in ModestoFour people were hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into a tree in Modesto on Monday evening, June 2, 2025.

According to the Modesto Police Department, the crash occurred shortly before 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of College Avenue and Durant Street. 

The driver was reportedly speeding when they lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the collision.

All four occupants of the car were taken to the hospital. Authorities stated that at least one of the individuals had been in critical condition, while the others were reported to be stable.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
