Four people were killed following a high-speed head-on collision in Tuolumne County on Saturday afternoon, May 31, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:00 p.m. on Bonds Flat Road near La Grange Road.
A pickup truck, reportedly traveling at approximately 100 mph, was heading northbound when it crossed over the double-yellow lines in an attempt to pass another vehicle.
At the same time, an SUV was traveling southbound on Bonds Flat Road. Due to the high speed, both vehicles were unable to avoid the collision, and the impact caused the vehicles to become embedded into each other.
The driver of the pickup, 56-year-old Michael K., along with passengers 66-year-old Donna Y. and 65-year-old Cindi S., were all killed. The SUV driver, 33-year-old J., was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash, including whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
