According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Alpine Road and La Mesa Drive. The driver and two passengers of a black sedan fled on foot after the collision.

Authorities reported that one bicyclist sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital, while the other two were not hospitalized. The driver of the car is described as a woman in her 30s with blonde hair, wearing all black, and carrying an orange phone case. The two passengers who fled on foot were identified as males.

It is not immediately known whether the vehicle was stolen. No arrests have been made, and CHP continues to investigate the incident.
